The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved a "Blue Origin license" to take humans into space on the New Shepard launch system.

Jeff Bezos, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of Amazon.com, is scheduled to fly to space on July 20 via Blue Origin's maiden crewed voyage.
Blue Origin is authorized to carry humans.
Blue Origin has been approved to operate these missions from its Launch Site One facility in Texas.
The flight is being operated after space-tourism rival Virgin Galactic successfully sent its crew to the edge of space.

Space Tourism.
Space tourism is human space travel for recreational purposes. There are different types of space tourism such as orbital, suborbital and lunar space tourism. So far, orbital space tourism has been done only by Roscosmos. Various agencies such as Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic are working to develop suborbital space tourism vehicles. SpaceX also announced its plans to send space tourists, including Yusaku Maezawa, on a free-return trajectory around the Moon on a Starship in 2018.

It is an American aerospace manufacturer and suborbital spaceflight services company. It is privately funded and headquartered in Kent, Washington. It was founded in 2000 by Jeff Bezos who is also the founder and executive chairman of Amazon.
