WHAT IS STAR :
A Star is a Luminous sphere of gas, consisting mostly of hydrogen and helium, which are held together by the same gravity. At its core, nuclear fusion reaction support stars against gravity and produce photons and heat, as well as large amount of bulk. The closest star to the planet Earth is the Sun.
HOW STARS WORKS :
They all work by the same basic principle which is, They fuse atoms in their cores to create heat and light. This is how star works. ... The process of fusion emits heats and lights, This process is known as '' STELLAR NUCLEOSYNTHESIS '', and the source of many elements in the universe is the heavier then hydrogen and helium.
WHY STARS TWINKLES :
The stars twinkles in the night sky due to the effects of our atmosphere. When lights of stars enters our atmosphere it is affected by the winds in our atmosphere and areas of different temperature and densities. It flickers the light from the stars when viewed from the ground.
WHY DO STARS DIE :
Stars die because, they exhaust their nuclear fuel. ... In fact massive stars use their quickly, but they are hot enough to fuse heavy elements such as Helium and Carbon. Once there is no fuel or ( out of fuel ), then the stars starts collapses and the outer layer burst into a ' SUPERNOVA '.
SPEED OF A SHOOTING STAR OR ( FALLING STAR ) :
The speed of a shooting star or falling star depends on when and how meteor enters the earth's atmosphere. On average, meteors have the speed ranging from ( 11 kilometers per second ) to ( 72 kilometers per second ), ranging from ( 25,000 miles per hours ) to ( 160,000 miles per hours ). Since the earth is always rotating, some meteors may need to catch spin ( rotation of earth ) to reach the atmosphere.

WHICH IS THE BIGGEST STAR IN THE UNIVERSE :
UY SCUTI : The largest known star in the universe, a hyper-giant with a radius of around 1,700 times larger than the Sun. The UY Scuti was first listed in the year 1860 by German astronomers at Bonn observatory. The germane astronomer were completing a survey of stars for the Bonner Durchmusterung Stellar Catalogue. It was designated BD-12°5055, the 5,055th star between 12°S and 13°S counting from 0h right ascension. The radiius of UY Scuti is 1.1883 billion km. The distance between planet earth and UY Scuti is 5,219 light year.

VY CANIS MAJORIS : This is also the largest star in the universe, the first known recorded observation of vy canis majoris is in the star list of the french astronomer jerome lalande, on march 7, in the year 1801,which lists it as a 7th magnitude star. The radius of VY CANIS MAJORIS IS 987.89 million km. It is 4,892 light year far from the earth. It is an extreme oxygen-rich red hyper-giant or we can say it as red super-giant and pulsating variable star located at 1.2 kilopersecs away from the planet earth in the constellation of Canis Major.
WHICH IS THE SMALLEST STAR IN THE UNIVERSE :
The Star which is known to be the smallest star in the universe right now is OGLE-TR-122b. It is the red dwarf star that is part of a binary stellar system. This red dwarf star is the smallest star whose radius is accurately measured; 0.12 solar radius. It does a work of 167,000 km. Which is only 20% larger than the planet Jupiter. It was discovered when the optical gravitational lensing experiment survey observed the smaller star eclipsing the larger primary. The orbital period of this star is 7.3 day. The distance between planet earth and OGLE-TR-122b is 4892.21 light year.
HOW MANY STAR ARE THERE IN THE UNIVERSE AND IN OUR MILKY WAY GALAXY :
In the universe, there are about 10 billion galaxies in observable universe! The number of star in a galaxy varies, but an approximate average 100 billion star per galaxy, means that the observable universe has approximately 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ( 1 billion trillion ) star!
In milky way there are 25000 crores ± 15000 crores.
WHICH IS THE BIGGEST STAR IN THE MILKY WAY GALAXY :
A star known to be the largest star in the milky way is known as ( PISTOL STAR ) in term of mass and brightness. Believing that, this star is 100 times as massive and 10,000,000 times as brightest as the Sun. In the year 1990, a star named the pistol star was known to lie at the center of the pistol Nabula in the milky way galaxy. This is a blue hyper-giant star, one of the most luminous known in the milky way. The radius of this star is 212.88 million kilometers. The pistol star was first discovered by the astronomer Don Figer at UCLA. It was discovered using the Hubble space telescope in the early 1990s.
WHICH IS THE SMALLEST STAR IN THE MILKY WAY GALAXY :
A star known to be the smallest star in the milky way galaxy is ( EBLM J0555-57Ab ). It was discovered by the astronomer from the University of Cambridge. This star is about the size of planet saturn. This star is 619.7 light year far from the planet earth.
