Indian space research organisation's mars orbiter mission or we can say it mangalyan mission onboard with the planet mars( mars colour camera) has clicked the footage of phobos, the nearest and bigger( gaint ) moon of planet mars.

Along with the footage, indian space research organisation (isro) in update said that " spatial resolution of image 210 m. This footage is a complete and overall footage produce from 6 mars colour camera (MCC) frames and it has been colour perfectly and correctly.

The footage is said to be click on 1st july when mars orbitor mission ( mangalyaan) was about 7,200 km far from the mars and 4,200 km far from moon phobos. The nearest or the closest and biggest moon of mars planet.

Generally, the moon phobos is largely believed to be created or formed by carbonaceous chondrities.

Indian space research organisation (isro) said in a Statement that "the violent phase that phobos has encountered is seen in the large section gouged out from a past collision (stickney crater) and bouncing ejecta".

It is further stated that stickney , the biggest crater on moon phobos and along with other crater ( grildrig, shklovsky and roche) are also captured and seen on the footage.

In the beginning, mars orbiter mission (mom) or mangalyaan lived for six month, but later, isro claimed that mangalyaan had enough fuel for many years. Click here to read about jupiter planet.

In the year 2014, on September 24, india had successfully placed the mars mars or mission ( MOM) mangalyaan spacecraft in the orbit around the red planet (mars), in its first attempt and thus it breaking it into a elite club.

In the year 2013, on September 5, indian space research organisation (isro) had launched the spacecraft on its (nine month long) odyssey on from sriharikota in andra pradesh on a homegrown PSLV rocket that survived the earth's gravitational field in the year 2013 on December 1st.

The indian isro's (MOM) mission which has the total amout of  450 crore budget targeted to study and learn about the martian martian surface and mineral composition as well as scan its atmosphere for methane ( a martian life indicator) which is normally called as an indicator of life on mars.

There are five scientific instruments in mars orbiter.

1: LYMAN ALPHA PHOTOMETER (LAP)

2: METHANE SENSOR FOR MARS(MSM)

3: MARS EXOSPHERIC NEUTRAL COMPOSITION ANALYSER(MENCA)

4: MARS COLOUR CAMERA(MCC)

5: THERMAL INFRARED IMAGING
SPECTROMETER (TIIS)
