The Eris planet is the giant, massive and second largest dwarf planet in the solar system. The Eris planet was discovered in the year 2005 on January by a Palomar observatory based team led by Mike brown and its discovery was verified later that year. In the year 2006 in September, it was named after the goddess of discord and discord

WHERE IS ERIS DWARF PLANET
The Eris planet is the farthest dwarf Planet, which is beyond Planet Neptune's Orbit. Planet Eris was discovered in the year 2005 and was fundamentally or originally classified as a planet. It is the second massive dwarf planet to be discovered and it deactivated bot it and Pluto for dwarf Planets.
FORMATION
Planet Eris is a dwarf planet and it is a member of a group of object that orbit in a disc like zone beyond the Neptune's orbit called the Kuiper Belt. This distant realm is populated with thousands of miniature icy worlds, which formed early in the history of the Solar system for about 4.5 billion years ago. These icy, rocky bodies are called Kuiper Belt objects, transneptunian objects, or plutoids.
WHAT IS ERIS MADE OF
The researches were believed that the surface of the Eris is composed of nitrogen rich ice mixed with frozen methane in a layer less than 1 millimetre. He said that this ice layer could be a result of the atmosphere of a dwarf planet, which is condensed by a frost on the surface as it moves away from the Sun.
HOW COLD IS ERIS PLANET
The Eris takes 557 Earth years for Eris to make an orbit around the Sun. It has a highly eccentric orbit around the Sun, due to which its surface temperature can very from -217 degrees Celsius to -243 degrees Celsius.
FACT ABOUT ERIS
Dwarf planet Eris is one of the massive, giant known dwarf planet in our solar system. It has almost the same size as Pluto dwarf planet, but the distance of Eris from the Sun is three times as far.
Eris was first visible or appeared larger than Pluto. This sparked a debate in the scientific community due to which in the year 2006 the international astronomical Union clarified the definition of a planet. Pluto, Eris, and other similar object are now classified and known to be as dwarf planets.
SIZE AND DISTANCE
Eris the dwarf planet is about 1/5 the radius of the Earth. It has a radius of approximately 722 miles ( 1,163 kilometres ). The Eris, like Pluto, is slightly smaller than the moon of Earth planet. If the Earth were in the size of nickle, than the Eris would have been as big as a popcorn kernel.
EXPLORATION
The dwarf planet Eris was first observed and spotted during a Palomar observatory survey of the outer solar system by Mike Brown, a professor of planetary astronomy at the California institute of technology in the year 2003; Chad Trujillo of the Gemini Observatory; and David Rabinovitt of Yale University.
ATMOSPHERE
The dwarf planet is often so far away from the Sun that its atmosphere freezes and freezes like ice on the surface. As it orbits closest to the Sun, the atmosphere melts.
EXISTENCE OF LIFE
The surface of dwarf planet Eris is extremely very cold, so it seems that there will be no possibility for existence of life. ( It seems unlikely that life could exist there.
MOON OF ERIS ( DYSNOMIA )
Dwarf planet Eris has a very small moon called Dysnomia. The Dysnomia moon has a spherical ( circular ) orbit approximately for 16 days. This moon is named after the daughter of Eris, the goddess of Chaos. Dysnomia and other small moons around planets allow astronomers to calculate the mass of the original body
