After 2020, Mars will come more closer in the year 2035 on September 11. At that time the distance between Mars and Earth will be reduced to 569.6 million km that means 5 crore 69 lakh km. Even at that time Mars will look much bigger and red.
Mars and Earth come closer every 26 months
The distance between both Mars and Earth decreases significantly from the normal distance every 26 months. This is because both these planets revolve around the Sun on the elliptical path. Also, both these planets are inclined a few degrees on their orbit. Due to these reasons, the distance between the two planets keeps decreasing.
